Valerie Stiso

Valerie Stiso is a partner in the municipal liability group at Loopstra Nixon LLP.

Valerie’s practice focuses on representing various Ontario municipalities in a wide range of defence matters. Valerie has extensive public liability litigation experience, including all types of negligence and personal injury claims, subrogation matters, property damage disputes, product liability, fire loss claims, flooding claims, and motor vehicle liability claims.

Valerie regularly acts as counsel at motions, examinations for discovery, mediations and pre-trial conference hearings. She has appeared before various levels of court in Ontario. She has also represented clients before several administrative tribunals, including the License Appeal Tribunal and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board.

In addition, Valerie is a Board member of the Canadian Bar Insurance Association (CBIA) where she participates in shaping the strategic direction of the CBIA, contributing her unique insights and skills to benefit the legal community.
