Bio

Quinto practices municipal, land use planning and development law.

He has over 37 years of experience as an advocate, appearing before the Ontario Land Tribunal (formerly the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and before that the OMB) in hundreds of cases. He has practiced his entire career as a lawyer at Loopstra Nixon and has been involved in some of the most important and complex land use planning law cases in Ontario.

Quinto is an accomplished author and lecturer, frequently speaking at conferences throughout North America. He is the author of a Thomson Reuters publication entitled “Municipal Lands: Acquisition, Management and Disposition” and is a contributing author and consulting editor for two other texts. Quinto has been recognized by the publishers of the Chambers Canada Guide as a leading lawyer in the Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use category in 2024 and 2025.

Quinto is also a member of the Board of Directors and Vice Chair of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO). He was reappointed to the Board for a second three-year term in April 2022. 

Quinto is an active member of his community, giving very generously of his time to many not-for-profit organizations and charitable endeavours. He is the immediate past Chair of the Villa Colombo Vaughan Board of Directors and the current Chair of the St. Rita at Marylake Long Term Care Home in King City. However, he is most proud to be the founder and president of the Carol Annibale Ovarian Cancer Foundation, a charity he runs in memory of his late wife, Carol Annibale.
