Bio

Fabian Suárez-Amaya is an associate in Loopstra Nixon's Commercial Litigation group. Fabian is developing a broad litigation practice, including contract disputes, shareholder remedies, employment disputes, and commercial real estate disputes.

Fabian earned his Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, where he received several awards for academic achievement, including multiple course awards for highest standing. In law school, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies, and coordinated a team of students who provided pro bono support for the Elizabeth Fry Society.

Prior to joining Loopstra Nixon, Fabian worked for two years at a full-service national law firm, and two years at a leading litigation boutique. Fabian started his career clerking for the judges of the Ontario Superior Court. Fabian has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court, the Divisional Court, and the Small Claims Court.

Fabian currently volunteers as a Director of the Canadian Hispanic Bar Association and volunteers with the Pro Bono Ontario hotline. When not litigating, Fabian enjoys reading about history, playing soccer, and studying chess.
