Bio
Brendan practices municipal, land use planning, and development law.
He acts for a diverse cross-section of public and private clients across Ontario, including municipalities, private corporations, developers, power generators, public utilities, and individual homeowners.
Brendan represents clients in a broad range of matters including development approvals, municipal governance, official plan and zoning by-law appeals, plans of subdivision and consents, condominium developments, minor variances, development charges matters, freedom of information requests, and municipal conflict of interest law. Brendan appears regularly before the Ontario Land Tribunal, Toronto Local Appeal Body, committees of adjustment, and municipal councils.
Brendan holds a BA from Concordia University in Urban Studies and Political Science and attended law school at the University of Toronto. He joined Loopstra Nixon LLP as a summer student in 2014, articled at the firm in 2015-2016 and has been practicing as a lawyer at the firm since 2016 following his call to the bar.
In his spare time, Brendan enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
