Municipal Law Litigation

The Municipal & Insurance Litigation group represents approximately 50 municipalities and their insurers in the Province of Ontario including personal injury and catastrophic claims, occupiers’ liability, defamation, police and emergency services, Building Code claims, negligence, breach of fiduciary duties, negligent misrepresentation, transit liability, sewer backup and flooding claims.

In addition, the firm represents these municipalities in numerous uninsured claims involving their elected councillors, boards and municipal staff and in claims dealing with municipal infrastructure, municipal procurement and other types of commercial litigation.
