The Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Restructuring team represented the purchased of Junction Craft Brewing Inc. and was instrumental in breaking new legal ground.  Our Team elected and designed a strategy for our client to acquire the insolvent Toronto brewer through a “reverse vesting order” in which the purchaser acquired the shares of the company, but after the liabilities were transferred to a shell.  Loopstra Nixon was front and centre on this first known transaction of its kind in Ontario in “NOI” sale proceedings under the BIA.
