Bio

Dylan Gervais is an associate in the Taxation and Corporate Law practice groups.

Dylan is focused on providing tax-efficient advice on a range of business law matters. His practice includes assisting with mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, wealth management and estate planning, as well as assisting with a broad range of other corporate and commercial matters.

Dylan studied law at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University where he was awarded the Dean's Silver Medal for obtaining the second highest GPA. For his undergraduate studies, Dylan obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto where he specialized in finance and majored in economics, graduating with high distinction.

Dylan developed his interest and knowledge in tax when he completed a clerkship with the Tax Court of Canada where he assisted judges with deciding cases. He is passionate about providing practical and business relevant advice, having previously worked in-house for a large private equity owned company in the real estate and facilities management industry where he assisted with all areas from acquisitions to commercial leases to employment law matters.

During his studies, Dylan worked as a teaching assistant for the Rotman School of Management, the Ted Rogers School of Management, and the University of Toronto Mississauga Department of Management for courses including mergers and acquisitions, investments, futures and options, fixed income, and business law.

Dylan is from northern Ontario, growing up in Timmins. Outside of work, Dylan enjoys playing and watching hockey, as well as spending time outdoors. He is fully bilingual and can assist clients in both French and English.
